Csaba leads KNP Law’s Budapest-based Dispute Resolution Group, which represents clients in litigation, arbitration (domestic and international), as well as alternative dispute resolution proceedings in Hungary, and abroad. He is a Hungarian-born, US-qualified lawyer with significant experience in transnational dispute resolution.
Csaba has represented clients in litigation and international arbitration proceedings worldwide, including in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. He has particular experience with ICC and ICSID arbitration proceedings, and has worked with clients from a wide variety of industries, including oil and gas, mining, telecommunications, and financial services. In May 2020, he was appointed by Hungary to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators and Conciliators (as a conciliator).
Csaba is the founder and president of Sovereign Arbitration Advisors, a Washington, DC-based international arbitration boutique law firm, a role in which he continues to work alongside his practice leadership role at KNP Law. Previously, Csaba worked as a litigation and international disputes lawyer with the Washington and London teams of a top-ranked US law firm.
Early in his career, he served as a law clerk to two federal district court judges in the United States. In that role, Csaba was responsible for managing a docket of approximately fifty civil and criminal cases, analyzing party submissions, preparing memoranda for the judge, and drafting opinions. His clerking experience gave Csaba valuable insight into persuasive advocacy in litigation.
Csaba is a graduate of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, as well as Vanderbilt Law School. He is a native English speaker and is proficient in Hungarian, Portuguese and French.
