NEW COVID IMMUNITY / VACCINATION CERTIFICATE REGULATIONS
On February 8, 2022, new regulations regarding the COVID-19 vaccination and the immunity certificates were published in the Hungarian Official Gazette.
These new provisions stipulate that from February 15, 2022 onward, the immunity certificate will be officially named ‘vaccination certificate’ and only those individuals’ vaccination certificates will be valid for an unlimited period of time who have been vaccinated in case of a one-dose vaccine (J&J) at least twice; in case of two-dose vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca, Sputnik, Sinopharm) at least three times; and in case when the first vaccine was a two-dose vaccine they also received at least a second one-dose vaccine.
Unvaccinated individuals, including those who were infected with the SARS COVID-19 virus will not be eligible to receive a vaccination certificate, and their immunity certificates will not be valid as of May 1, 2022, irrespective to the validity period stated on their immunity cards.
