Dr. Kinga Timar, LL.M. graduated from the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Law with a JD degree summa cum laude in 2008.
In addition to practicing law, she is an assistant lecturer with the Department of Civil Procedure at the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Law.
During her university years, she was a student assistant at the Department of Civil Procedure and at the Department of Civil Law. In 2005 she spent three weeks in Mainz, Germany with a DAAD scholarship, studying the basics of German law and economics. In 2006/2007 she participated in the Erasmus Program and spent 10 months in Leipzig (Germany), studying primarily international and European private and civil procedural law. In the final two years of her university studies she was awarded a merit-based scholarship by the Hungarian Ministry of Education. In 2010/2011, she participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition program. During 2011 she worked as a legal intern with the Litigation & Arbitration Group in the Frankfurt, Germany office of one of the largest Chicago, USA headquartered international law firms. In January 2013, she completed her LL.M. in European law at Saarland University, Germany. In 2016, she obtained a second LL.M. degree in international business law from Boston University.
She regularly advises and represents clients in litigation, arbitration, commercial, corporate, and labor law matters.
She is a member of the Budapest Bar Association. In addition to her native Hungarian, she is fluent in German and English.
