Dr. Ferenc Suba is collaborating attorney-at-law of KNP LAW in the fields of data protection, energy, IT and communications, cybersecurity, media- and copyright law. Between 2015-2016 he worked as expert of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency, from 2004 to 2016 he was the Vice-Chair of the European Network and Information Security Agency, between 2005-2013 he led CERT-Hungary National Cybersecurity Centre, from 2001 to 2005 he was the head of department of IT regulation in the Government Commissioner’s Office and the Ministry of IT and Communications, between 2000-2001 he worked as the founding director of Andrássy University Budapest and associate professor at the Faculty of Law of the Károli Gáspár Protestant University. In data protection he is engaged in auditing and GDPR preparation of large Hungarian and international organizations, he led the codification of the Hungarian e-commerce act and the Hungarian IT security certification scheme, and he was responsible for the drafting and implementation of the Hungarian national cybersecurity strategy and the energy cybersecurity strategy. He is representing clients in Hungary and abroad in mediation procedures and arbitration procedures in domain name disputes and internet content related cases, moreover, he is advising international clients on setting up CERTs (computer emergency response teams) abroad. He received his first M.A. degree from Heidelberg in majors English and History.

For the clients of KNP LAW he provides legal and advisory services relating to data protection, energy, IT and communications, cybersecurity, media- and copyright law. In addition to Hungarian he is fluent in English, German, French, Russian and Italian.
