Dr. Aliz Kaposznyak graduated from ELTE Faculty of Law Budapest with a JD degree (summa cum laude) in 2014. During her academic studies, she was a student assistant at the Department of Civil Procedure and was once awarded with a merit based scholarship of the Hungarian Minister of Education. In the 2012/13 academic year, she spent five months at the University of Luxemburg Faculty of Law as a SOKRATES/ERASMUS Program fellow. During this time, she studied private international law and international and European civil procedural law. She commenced her Ph.D. studies at the Department of Civil Procedure ELTE in 2014 and conducted research in the field of international investment arbitration, inter alia, at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for International, European and Regulatory Procedural Law. Between 2015-2016 she was a member of the Civil Procedure Codification Working Committee, and co-author of the new Hungarian civil procedural code’s Expert Proposal. In 2018 she completed her LL.M. in European Economic Law and International Dispute Resolution at Saarland University, Germany. As a member of the Saarland team, she participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot where she was awarded with the so-called “Honourable Mention” for her outstanding individual speaker achievement.

In addition to Hungarian, her working language is English and her language skills include an intermediate knowledge of German and French.
